Zara McFarlane
Zara McFarlane is a multi award-winning jazz vocalist and songwriter of British/Jamaican heritage. She has released 4 critically acclaimed albums to date.
Zara is passionate about learning from different creatives perspectives and infuses heritage within her work.
Her most recent release "Songs Of An Unknown Tongue" explores the meeting points between current electronic sounds and the traditional rhythms of her Jamaican heritage.
Zara has achieved great success with performing with a variety of highly acclaimed musicians such as Hugh Masekela, Gregory Porter, Ernest Ranglin, Shabaka Hutchings, Moses Boyd and Ezra Collective. She is also in demand as a featured vocalist internationally, collaborating with esteemed producers Louie Vega, Swindle, Floating Points, Osunlade and most recently Dennis Bovell.
